Times

The operation of Multiplication, i.e., $a$ times $b$. Various notations are $a\times b$, $a\cdot b$, $ab$, and $(a)(b)$. The ``multiplication sign'' $\times$ is based on Saint Andrew's Cross (Bergamini 1969). Floating point Multiplication is sometimes denoted $\otimes$.
