Maximum Absolute Row Sum Norm

The Natural Norm induced by the L(infinity)-Norm is called the maximum absolute row sum norm and is defined by

\begin{displaymath}
\vert\vert{\hbox{\sf A}}\vert\vert _\infty=\max_i \sum_{j=1}^n \vert a_{ij}\vert
\end{displaymath}

for a Matrix A.
