Partial Quotient

If the Simple Continued Fraction of a Real Number $x$ is given by

$$x = a_0+{1\over{\strut\displaystyle a_1+{\strut\displaystyle... ...{\strut\displaystyle 1\over\strut\displaystyle a_3+\ldots}}}},$$

then the quantities $a_i$ are called partial quotients.
