Normalized Vector

The normalized vector of ${\bf X}$ is a Vector in the same direction but with Norm (length) 1. It is denoted $\hat
{\bf X}$ and given by

\begin{displaymath}
\hat {\bf X} \equiv { {\bf X}\over \vert{\bf X}\vert},
\end{displaymath}

where $\vert{\bf X}\vert$ is the Norm of ${\bf X}$. It is also called a Unit Vector.
