Adequate Knot

A class of Knots containing the class of Alternating Knots. Let $c(K)$ be the Crossing Number. Then for Knot Sum $K_1\char93 K_2$ which is an adequate knot,

c(K_1\char93 K_2)=c(K_1)+c(K_2).
\end{displaymath}

This relationship is postulated to hold true for all Knots.
