Historical Note
University Services was created in 1960 to administer offices like central stengographic, mail service, salvage and stores. Prior to 1960 some of the offices had been administered by the Secretary. University Services has had a variety of names. From 1960 to 1969 it was called General University Services. From 1969 to 1972 it was called Procurement and University Services, University Services and Materials Management. In 1973 it became known as University Services which is the current name. Since 1960 University Services has been administered by the Vice President for Business Finance and Treasurer.
Scope and Contents note
The University Services Division records contain two issues of the newsletters Messages from University Services Division and News Bulletin. The issues feature articles about the Printing Office and the Purchasing Department. There is also information about University Stores, and other offices.
