Historical Note
The Office of Supportive Services was created in 1968 under the Special Project Office but did not appear in the campus directories until 1972. The Summer Research Opportunity Program was created in 1985. It is currently administered by the Associate Provost for Academic Student Services and Multicultural Issues.
Scope and Contents note
The Office of Supportive Services records include McNair/Summer Research Opportunity Program (SROP) Scholars Program 1995 Research Abstracts, and McNair/SROP Scholars booklet with information on the program, list of people in the program, personal stories, and a guide to the Office’s programs for 2008. There are also unpublished annual reports for 1981-1984.
