Historical Note
The Institute for Family and Child Study was created in 1971 under the College of Human Ecology. In 1990 the name changed to Institute for Children Youth and Family. In 2004 it was administered by Family and Child Ecology. The Institute was closed in 2006.
Scope and Contents note
The records consist of the reports “Maternal Involvement in Day Care: A Comparison of Incentives” and “Longitudinal Effects of Classification and Attention Training Curriculum in Head Start and Kindergarten.” Also included are a 1970 funding request and a 1971 budget estimate for a proposed daycare for the children of married students. There is also a newsletter and the executive summary for Creating Caring Communities project.
