Historical Note
The Administration and Higher Education Department (1964-1981) was a sub-unit of the College of Education. It was preceded by the Educational Administration and Supervision Department (1952-1953), the Higher Education Department (1952-1953), and Administrative and Educational Services (1954-1959). From 1960 to 1963, "interest group" replaced departments. In 1981, the Department was combined with others in the Education College to form the Administration and Curriculum Department.
Scope and Contents note
The records of the Administration and Higher Education Department include form letters to educators, research and reports on College of Education faculty, description of doctorate degrees in education (1965), and miscellaneous papers on education and graduate study in education. Also included are annual reports for the years 1962-1971.
