Historical Note
The Food Industry Institute was created in 1988 at Michigan State University. In 2000 the name was changed to the Institute for Food Laws and Regulation and it is currently administered by the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources.
Scope and Contents note
The Food Industry Institute records contain the report “Meat Alliances to Build Demand” from the Meat Alliance Task Force (ca. 1993), the report “Strategic Meat Department Management Beyond Gross Margins” (1993), and schedule for the short course Food Protection Quality Assurance Technology (1990).
