Historical Note
The Center for Fundamental Materials Research at Michigan State University was founded in 1985 to coordinate and develop materials research efforts at MSU. The majority of its members held appointments in the Physics and Astronomy, and Chemistry Departments.
Scope and Contents note
This collection consists of a description of the Center and its goals, written by Ned Jackson. Jackson was the Director of the Center for Fundamental Materials Research.
