Historical Note

The first session of the Residence Hall Association was in the 1969 - 1970 school year and is first listed in the 1972 catalog. The association succeeded (?) the Residence Area Councils, the Men's Hall Association (MHA) and Women's Inter-Residence Council (WIC).

The association represents the highest level of residence hall government and is the governing body for all university residence halls. As part of its purpose, it develops communication between the residence halls and the university community. Members of the body sit on state and regional boards.
