Elmer Forrest "Tubby" Hock, from Detroit, Michigan, received his B.S. in Horticulture from M.A.C. in 1913. He was a member and president of the Columbian Literary Society, a member and president of the Dramatic Club, a member of the Horticulture Club, and Quartermaster of the 3rd Battalion, M.A.C. Cadet Corps while at M.A.C. He later earned a Master's Degree from the University of Detroit, and became an Assistant Principal at Garfield Intermediate School in Detroit.

Elmer F. Hock Papers consist of a scrapbook, songs, poems, and a copy of regulations for the Women's Building. His scrapbook contains programs, invitation, announcements, photographs, post cards, athletic schedules, college songs, posters, tickets, and newspaper clippings relating student life at MAC..
