Biographical Note
Heather Mustonen earned her bachelor's degree from Albion College in 2001; she earned a M.A. in Anthropology from the Michigan State University. She completed and submitted her thesis in 2007.
Scope and Contents note
The collection contains Mustonen's master's thesis "Public Archaeology and Community Engagement at Michigan State University: The Saint's Rest Archaeological Project." The main focus of the thesis is how the 2005 archaelogical dig site of Saint's Rest at Michigan State University provided a case study for how public archaeology could engage the community and interest people in their archaelogical history.
