Biographical Note
Richard Purdum was a Detroit native who attended Michigan State College from 1940-1946. While at MSC, he was a member of the National Society of Pershing Rifles, Company D- 3rd Regiment. He graduated from the College of Science and Arts in 1946 with an English degree. He entered the graduate school at MSC, but left in 1951.
Scope and Contents note
This collection includes a program for the National Society of Pershing Rifles, May 28, 1941 banquet in the Union Ballroom, and poems by Richard Purdum in various literary magazines from 1950-1967.
