Biographical Note

Ruel Norval Wright graduated from Michigan State University in 1920 with a B.S. in agriculture. He worked as a district inspector for Merchant Despatch, Inc. in Detroit, Michigan.

Scope and Contents note

The collection consists of a bound, typed, thesis called "The Apple and Its Culture." The thesis covers the history and botany of the apple, location and planting of an orchard, propagation, pruning, cultivation, spraying, diseases, insects, picking, packing, storing, marketing, and varieties. The volume contains a bibliography of the sources Wright used and many pasted pictures and illustrations.
