Biography
Miss Eva Coryell (Mrs. William McBain) was the first woman to graduate from Michigan Agricultural College (now Michigan State University). She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in 1879. She died in Grand Rapids, Michigan, in 1927.
Scope and Contents note
Eva Diann Coryell's papers consist of excerpts from the Faculty Minutes and from Madison Kuhn's book "Michigan State: The First Hundred Years". Also included is a list of Michigan Agricultural College (now Michigan State University) graduates of 1879.
