Scope and Contents note

The J. P. Hoffman collection contains 38 copy photographs of the United States Army from the American Civil War, Spanish-American War, and World War I. The bulk of the collection consists of the United States Army Signal Corps in the Spanish-American War, World War I, and scenes from the American Civil War.
