- Lloyd von Richter (1868-1945) was a violist from Fowlerville, Michigan. He was also a publisher of sheet music. His grandson, Roger Grove, is an alumnus of Michigan State University.

Biographical Note
Floyd von Richter was born February 1870 in Michigan. He was a violinist based in Fowlerville, Michigan.
Scope and Contents note
This collection contains dance orchestra music in arrangements popular throughout central Michigan in the early 1900s. The collection includes photographs of Floyd von Richter, orchestras and miscellaneous people and also includes sheet music published in Lansing, Michigan by von Richter as well as other composers. There is also included a document showing von Richter's competency in piano tuning and repair.
