David James at the MSU LibraryDavid James has published three poetry collections, including: A Heart Out of This World (Carnegie-Mellon University Press, 1984), Do Not Give Dogs What is Holy (March Street Press, 1994), and I Dance Back (March Street Press, 2002). His one-act play, “After Godot," was produced off-Broadway at the Theatre-Studio in September 2003. The author’s other one-act plays include, "The Aftermath" and "Finding the Muse,” both of which were produced off-Broadway at the American Globe Theatre in April 2003 and April 2002, respectively. The Buckham Alley Theatre in Flint, Michigan, produced James’ full-length play, “Like Ships in the Night,” in September 2002. David James holds an Ed.D. from Wayne State University and is currently an English Instructor at Oakland Community College.
