Digitization production notes:

Keep metadata with wav files by using "view/info" in Cool Edit drop-down menu.
Always fill in the fields as noted.  Other header information is optional.

RealMedia:
The name, artist, and copyright information will display in RealMedia player
They will display per the following example:

Clip info selected in RealAUdio for a Michigan Writers Series file:

Clip info:  Michigan Writers Series (saved in Cool Edit as Name).
	    Loren Estleman (saved in Cool Edit as Artist).
	    MSU Libraries  (saved in Cool Edit as Copyright).
"Michigan Writers Series" also appears in the top bar of player while file is open.

Microsoft Media Player:
In Microsoft Media Player, only the Copyright and Subject information will display per the following example: 
"Clip: Michigan Writers Series" (saved as Subject in Cool Edit).
"copyright: MSU Libraries"	(saved as Copyright in Cool Edit)

To date, the mp3 encoders we use apparently do not carry the header information forward, so nothing is displayed. 

For all VVL items enter the following in Cool Edit header:

Name: (use VVL call number)
Artist: (use primary speaker's name or subject)
Copyright: "MSU Vincent Voice Library"
Subject: (use VVL call number)
