About the Files in this Version ...
Multi!Wav PRO Series cards for Win98/95/3.1 use three main components: DriverLink, the WAV Driver, and BitWav. The latest version of these components is in the setup diskette.
DriverLink:
DriverLink is the windows program that controls the settings of your Multi!Wav card. When you make a selection, such as enabling Monitoring, DriverLink sends your command to Windows, who then relays it to the Multi!Wav hardware. DriverLink is REQUIRED to use your Multi!Wav hardware.WAV Driver:
The WAV Driver is responsible for allowing Windows to "talk" to the Multi!Wav hardware. Windows sends instructions to the WAV driver, who then talks to the hardware operating system on the Multi!Wav card.BitWav:
BitWav is a fast, convenient windows audio program that allows you to simultaneously play & record audio files in full 24 bit audio fidelity. In addition, BitWav is capable of generating a wide variety of test files, and when used with a special diagnostic Multi!Wav driver, it can report performance statistics. Upgrading BitWav does not change your system settings in any manner.The Current Release Version 3.x supports:
- Dolby/ Microsoft/ Sonic Foundry AC3 (Dolby Digital) format
- Playback of 8 kHz 8 bit - 48 kHz 24 bit files
- Quad Output Plug-In Support (PRO24 & PRO18)
- Optional Hardware Interrupt (IRQ) Capability (PRO18, PRO24, & PRO Analog 24)

- Hardware Supported: Multi!Wav PRO Analog 24, Multi!Wav Digital PRO24/PRO18/PRO.
In this version the Digital PRO24 & Digital PRO18 have two modes of operation. Normal Mode and Quad Output Mode.
- Normal Mode: 2 In, 2 Out 24 Bit Audio capability where the Analog Output monitors the Digital Output.
- Quad Output Mode: 2 In, 4 Out 16 Bit Audio capability where the Analog Output is independent of the Digital Output.
REMINDER! Quad Output and 24 Bit Audio use higher data bandwidth that regular stereo transfers. To maximize data transfer speed, please enable Multi-Track Transfer Mode. This technical advantage is one of Multi!Wav's lesser known features.

Multi!Wav Win NT4 Setup Diskette
New NT4 Installations
You will need to download the complete Setup Diskette in order to run Multi!Wav under NT4. Multi!Wav NT4 Utility, and the WAV driver itself.
The Multi!Wav NT4 driver supports simultaneous 24 bit record and play audio, Multiple Cards, Quad Output, and many other features. Operation of the NT4 driver is DIFFERENT than under Win95. For example, you will setup the hardware parameters, like the Card Address and DMA channel selection using the Windows NT4 Control Panel Device Driver Configuration screen rather than with DriverLink. In fact, a new utility, called Multi!Wav NT4 Utility, replaces DriverLink, and is used to control your Multi!Wav software settings (such as the I/O Format, Monitor Mode, Sync Playback Mode, etc...).

The complete download of all NT4 related files are posted below. After downloading, double click on the file to begin the self extraction process. Read the "README.TXT" file for further instructions.

This download contains all files required to setup Multi!Wav under WinNT. Please note that this download contains several self decompressing ".exe" files which contain additional files required by the installation. Please decompress each of these files into separate temporary directories.
