About Turf News

Turf News is the only magazine devoted exclusively to turfgrass sod production. Since its début in 1977, it has been published bi-monthly by Turfgrass Producers International (TPI), formerly the American Sod Producers Association (ASPA).

Turf News provides TPI members with the latest turfgrass industry information. Timely and informative articles range from TPI’s activities and events to new equipment, products and services to industry trends, research and more. 

Turf News is distributed to more than 1,300 turfgrass sod producers, industry suppliers, educators and other industry associates.

Past issues of Turf News are available on TGIF to TPI members and others in the green industry through an ongoing cooperative effort between TPI and the Michigan State University Libraries. This archive features Turf News content from 1977. As a courtesy to TPI dues-paying members, there is a one year moving wall on issues uploaded to the TGIF Web site.
